I don't know about you, but when I was too poor to by "real" art, I made a habit of buying nice greeting cards that were frame-worthy to hang on my apartment walls.
Now, who needs the x-acto knife and mat board? Card to Art Greeting Cards has made the transformation as simple as can be...and using letterpress to boot.

Tis the season for unique gifts! Yes, I realize this post has little to do with branding or identity. But, these little guys are an example of good design.

I believe I posted something about this project sometime in the last year. Now, there's an entire book devoted to telling the story about how the L!brary Initiative in New York City has developed.
It's a great project dedicated to the refurbishment of libraries in the New York City public school system. Pentagram teamed with various artists to make these spaces into inspirational works of art. Click the link and read some of the articles written about the project. Let's hope there are more like it in the future, and across the country.

Yes. Some people are amazingly talented...in crafts it would never occur to me to attempt. As a bonus, this poster by Yulia Brodskaya seems an appropriate welcome to spring. Very nice work!
